"Culturally Courageous" - A Dialogue on Race, Class and Gender: This session emphasizes understanding issues of diversity through an exploration of bias, stereotypes and their impact. (Introductory and Advanced)
"Show Me the Money" - The Basics of Grantwriting: Trainees will learn the basics of preparing applications for funding including how to read request for proposals, the components of a standard proposal, where to look for funding, etc.
"Show Me the Money II" - Advanced Grantwriting: Workshop participants will analyze high and low scoring proposals, increase understanding of program evaluation, and budget development.
"No Vision, No Provision" - Capacity Building for Non-Profit Organizations: This training emphasizes how to assess and strengthen organizational and program capacity to effectively plan and deliver services.
"Provision for the Vision" - Sustainability and Resource Development: The session will provide information on the disadvantages and advantages of public/private funding, how to set up a grantwriting team, and grassroots fundraising.
"Train the Trainer" - Utilizing Proven Techniques to Deliver Effective Training: This skill-building session will prepare participants to effectively utilize curricula and deliver training. Session provides an overview of various training methods and features opportunity to "teach back" to group. (Beginning)

"Service, Sacrifice and Self" - Leadership Development for the Challenges of Today: Understanding servant leadership and your own leadership style are critical elements of the effective leader. This workshop explores various models of leadership and guides participants in identifying components that will help them to successfully lead others. The difference between leading and managing is also discussed. The participants will also have an opportunity to self assess their leadership abilities to identify areas of strengths and areas for further development that will result in a more engaged workplace.
Self-Management as an Effective Leadership Strategy: Today it is not just IQ, but EI (emotional intelligence) and SI (Social Intelligence) that makes an effective leader. This session will provide self awareness and strategies for improvement.
Communicating with Power and Confidence: Identifying your own communication style is the first step to effectively communicating with others, and mastering congruency when you speak. This session provides participants with tools for both levels, as well as address other basic elements of communication. (Introduction)
"Open Our Eyes" - The Johari Window as a model for Powerful Communication: While the eyes may be the window for the soul, the Johari Window is the window for self awareness and increased effectiveness in interpersonal relationships. Participants will develop an understanding of the model, as well as what their window may hold.

"Stop, Look & Listen" - Empowerment Strategies for Working with Parents of the Very Young Child: Participants will explore the characteristics of the effective helping professional and complete a self-assessment. The workshop also assists participants in developing a non-judgmental, strengths based approach to working with complex families. Through the use of observation and questioning, participants learn strategies of empowering parents. These strategies include providing information, support, anticipatory guidance within the context of the families' environment and culture. Modes of instruction include video clips, role play, case study discussions and lecture.
"Out of Harm's Way" - Safety and Security During Home Visits: Participants will gain increased awareness of issues related to safety for home visitors including agency policies and procedures, dangerous settings and signals, de-escalating conflict, and preventive strategies.
"What About the Children" - Helping to Heal the Psychological Effects of Abuse: Participants will be able to identify the signs of emotional and psychological disturbance among children, and how it can impact their development. The model of asset development for youth will be introduced as a method of building resiliency in children who have been abused, neglected, or that live in unstable environments. Modes of instruction include video, large group discussion and mini-lecture.
