Lynne Chambers is the Principal Consultant and CEO of, Chambers & Associates, LLC, a firm that specializes in training, program development, conference planning and social marketing. Chambers holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work and is a licensed Social Worker in the State of Illinois. She also has completed a post-graduate study in Leadership as a Fellow of the National African American Women’s Leadership Institute, and has consistently earned the necessary continuing education requirements to maintain licensure.
Lynne Chambers is considered to be a subject matter expert on a variety of topics, including child welfare, grantsmanship, teen pregnancy, recovery support and health promotion/disease prevention. She is also highly sought for teambuilding and leadership development which are custom designed and delivered. Lynne is a highly qualified facilitator and speaker. Her training certifications include:
- Master Trainer for Foster Parent Training Project, Southern Illinois University in conjunction with Illinois Department of Children & Family Services
- Certified Trainer, Lifesavers Training Corporation, (A suicide prevention program for youth)
- Certified Childbirth Educator, B.E.S.T. Childbirth Educator Training Project
- Certified Trainer for American Red Cross, HIV/AIDS project
- Certified Facilitator for American Lung Association – Freedom From Smoking and Tobacco Free Teens Program
- Certified Facilitator for Heart to Heart – A Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Program geared for Teen Parents
- Certified as Supervisor for workers who administer the Denver Developmental Screening Tool
- Lifeskills Trainer for Youth, Illinois Dept. of Children & Family Services
She has held teaching positions as adjunct faculty of Southeast Missouri State University and Shawnee Community College.
In addition, Lynne has over two decades of experience in working with not-for-profits and community based organizations. She has managed and developed numerous programs and projects funded both privately (foundations) and publicly through state and federal sources. Professional experiences include working as a Senior Consultant with the Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Illinois Department of Public Health, and the Office of Women’s Health , United States Department of Health and Human Services. Chambers has experience with mass media, producing and hosting a radio show, and serving as a columnist for a local newspaper.
Dedicated to service to the community, Chambers has served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), and has served on numerous boards (e.g. domestic violence and shelter services), advisory committees and task forces. She has been the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions including the NAACP Community Service Award.
Chambers training sessions are characterized by her energy, and humor as well as solid, practical information that will improve the performance of attendees. A teen parent, single parent, and a survivor of domestic violence . . . through those experiences comes her passion and compassion for “the least of these.”
